Demo slot gacor: does a slot that pays in demo pay with real money?

No. PG Soft's demos in our lab return 142.3% of every stake on average, against an official 96.1–97.4%. In demo, a ×100 win comes about once every 611 spins. Across 248,095 real-money bets on the same games, it came once every 4,002. The most generous demos are the least like the real thing.

Which demo slots pay the most, by our data?

If "gacor" means "pays back the most", here is the answer. It covers 91 games we have each spun at least 20,000 times on the official demo. The white line is 100%: anything to its right paid back more than it took. The thin whisker on each bar is the margin of error.

Look at who owns the top of the list. PG Soft takes 7 of the ten places. One or two lucky games can happen at any provider. One provider owning the board is a different story.

Is it the game, or the provider?

To avoid being fooled by one game on a lucky run, we pooled every demo spin by provider. If the cause were a single game, pooling would hide it. If the cause is the provider, pooling makes it plainer.

The result is plain: PG Soft and FA CHAI pay back more than 100% once all their demo spins are pooled, while every other provider sits near the figure it publishes. A machine that pays out more than it takes could never sit in a casino; the casino would lose money every day. The most reasonable reading is that these demos are not the same machine as the real-money version.

So what happens with real money?

We cannot spin the real-money version ourselves. But some crypto casinos broadcast their players' bets to every visitor, with the game name and the win multiple. Since 7 October 2026 we have recorded 1,032,348 such bets on the providers we measure. Player names, amounts and casino names are not shown here.

From that broadcast we cannot honestly work out a real-money RTP. What we can count is one simple thing: how often a single bet wins ×100 or more. That is exactly what we count in the demo too, so both sides are measured with the same ruler.

FA CHAI75,62788.218Real money far rarer
Pragmatic Play139,161178.180Real money far rarer

This is the heart of it. If real-money PG Soft paid ×100 as often as its demo, the 248,095 bets we saw should have produced about 406. They produced 62. A gap that size is not bad luck: the chance of a number that low turning up by accident is well under 1 in 100.

Pragmatic Play is more interesting still. Its demo is not loose: 97.0% on average, close to the official figure. Yet with real money ×100 is still far rarer: from 139,161 bets we would expect about 178, and we saw 80. So the gap is not only about over-generous demos. One possibility: Pragmatic Play offers casinos several RTP versions of the same game, and a casino is not obliged to pick the highest. We cannot yet tell which version is in use.

A note on sources. Of the three casinos whose broadcasts we record, only one is shown to send winning and losing bets as they are: for the same game, the share of bets that lost everything there matches our lab (Gates of Olympus: 71% and 71%). The other two miss part of their losing bets (47% and 61%), which makes big wins look more common. Every "how often" figure on this page uses only the honest source. The other two are used only to record that a big win really happened.

Why would a demo be more generous?

The honest answer: we do not know for certain, and we will not pretend to.

What we do know: these are the official demos. The launch token our collector uses is the same one the provider's own demo page hands out, so this is not a version altered by some third-party site.

We also know that a provider's published RTP is tested on the version casinos install. As far as we know, no rule requires the demo to use the same settings. A demo takes no money, so nobody is directly harmed if it is set looser.

Whatever the reason, the consequence for a player is the same: the feeling that "this game is hot" that you get from the demo does not carry over to real money. The very thing that makes the demo feel hot is the thing that stays behind.

So what is a demo good for?

A demo is still useful, as long as you use it for what a demo can actually teach:

  • Learning the features. How free spins trigger, what happens inside them, which symbols matter. That is the same in demo and real money. Free spin ranking →
  • Feeling the game's character. Some games pay small and often, others go quiet for a long time and then burst. That is volatility, and it can be compared between games. Volatility ranking →
  • Seeing how far away the max win is. The big number on the game's poster almost never arrives. We worked out the distance. How far is the max win →

What a demo cannot teach you:

  • Picking a real-money game from how it went in demo. For PG Soft and FA CHAI, the demo is clearly much looser.
  • Finding a hot hour or a pattern. Every spin stands alone. We tested that over millions of spins. Is a slot ever due? →

How can I check this myself?

  1. Open the big wins board and pick a provider. Each game shows a "one in N" figure for demo and for real money, side by side. Big wins board →
  2. Download the raw records. Our demo spins and the real-money bets (without player or casino names) are archived daily with a checksum, so they cannot be quietly changed. Verify the data →
  3. Try the official demo yourself from the provider's site and compare it with your own experience. About demo slots →

Frequently asked questions

What does "demo slot gacor" mean?

It is what players call a demo that seems to pay often. In our data the most generous demos belong to PG Soft and FA CHAI, which pay back more than 100% on average. That is a property of the demo, not a sign that the game is hot.

Is a demo slot the same as the real-money version?

The look and features are the same. The payouts may not be. On PG Soft, real-money players hit ×100 far less often than the demo of the same game.

Why can PG Soft's demo pay back more than 100%?

PG Soft's demos return 142.3% on average in our lab. We do not know the reason for certain. What is clear is that the real-money version cannot do that, or casinos would lose money.

Which demo slot is the hottest today?

The ranking on this page updates every hour. But "today" changes nothing: our data shows that each spin's chances do not depend on the hour or on previous spins.

Can playing the demo first warm a game up before real money?

No. Every spin stands alone, so there is nothing to warm up, let alone from the demo to the real-money version.

Why doesn't OddsLab link to demos or casinos?

We are a measurement site. The moment we start sending players to casinos, our numbers stop being trustworthy. Official demos can be found by searching the game name on the provider's site.

How far can these figures be trusted?

Every figure is printed with its spin count and margin of error. The raw records are archived daily with checksums, so anyone can recompute them.

The data behind this guide
