Slot demos, measured: 112 games in the lab

This demo pays far more than a real-money version would

We ran 135,040 spins across PG Soft's 14 games in the lab. Every one of the 14 paid back more than it took — and still did at the bottom of its own margin of error. The weighted average was 146%, against the 96–97% the provider publishes. Put in 100, get back 146 — no real-money slot does that.

Be careful how you read this. No single one of these games has passed our own 20,000-spin bar yet — they have run between 6,420 and 13,760 spins each, 135,040 pooled. So we are not claiming any one game's figure is precise. What is hard to explain away is that all 14 land above 100% at once: if the real figure were 96–97%, one game reading that high would already be unusual, and 14 of them would not happen.

So treat everything on this page as a description of how the game behaves, not as what a real-money version would pay. The other figures — how often free spins land, how often a spin pays anything — may have been loosened the same way.

This is PG Soft's own official demo — the launch token our collector uses is the same one PG Soft's own demo page hands out. What we cannot measure is the real-money version, so we are not saying that one is rigged. We are saying the free version people practise on is not the same machine.
